Yuletide Carol Ban Protested in Brooklyn Schools
Assistant Superintendent Isaac Bildersee bans singing of Christmas carols with nativity references in 23 Brooklyn public schools. Knights of Columbus condemned the order as an insult to Christians and pressed for an investigation. Jansen said the policy targets only religiously significant carols and notes a historical order from 40 years ago.
