Amarillo Students Vote On Christmas Gift Practices
At Amarillo Senior High 1,324 students voted on holiday customs and safety measures. The poll asked about exchanging inexpensive gifts in classrooms, collections for gifts to teachers, gifts to teachers in class, Christmas spirit through charity, and school patrols shared with Central Junior High.

RAF Pilot in Libya Catches Ride to Return to Duty
An RAF Tomahawk pilot forced to land in the Libyan desert thumbed a 50 mile tow for himself and his plane. After a chat with South African troops he towed the aircraft to the nearest landing ground at about seven miles an hour, then resumed duty two days after being listed as missing.
