Four year cotton program laid by AAA
The AAA published a new four year cotton program aiming for 11,000,000 to 12,000,000 bales in 1936. It cuts base cotton acreage to 44,500,000 and reduces 1936 planting by 30 to 45 percent, with a five cent a pound benefit and a revised division of payments between landowners and tenants.
