Wyatt elected first vice president of Texas Public Health Assn
Jack Wyatt city chemist of Amarillo and director of the Texas Association of Sanitarians short school was elected first vice-president as the organization renamed the Texas Public Health Association. Dr H K Read Houston was re-elected president with Houston chosen for the 1931 meeting. Other officers include Dr T A Ward Beaumont W N Dashiell Fort Worth Miss Celia Moore Austin and E G Eggert. The group urged simplification of plumbing codes mosquito control funding for rural Texas and a permanent iat-proofing program within building codes. The eighth annual short school adjourned with endorsement of the state health officer’s work and support for the standard risk ordinance program.
