At a city council meeting the lowest brick bid was accepted for paving. Ockander Brothers of Waco won the contract. Two blocks of creosoted pine blocks were tested but buckled in the Panhandle climate and were discarded. Each car load of Coffeyville brick was tested. one block proved unsatisfactory and was replaced.
