Amarillo Mayor Offers 700 Acres for Methodist College
Mayor Lee Bivins announced he will donate 640 acres plus 60 more to total 700 acres near the north highway air field and pledge about 150000 dollars cash if Amarillo raises 100000 in cash for the college. The Northwest Texas Conference locating committee meets next Thursday to decide. San Antonio has submitted a rival offer deemed very flattering.
