Nine year old Dorothy Reese living seven miles north of Akron had crossed eyes since birth. A pony kicked her in the head while she tried to reach her petal, causing a blow that corrected the eye condition according to physicians. The animal struck with both feet but caused no serious injury.

Oklahoma City August 24 The capital swirled as Gov Henry Johnston said a bribe was offered to obtain a pardon for O L Lacy an oilman jailed for murder. He denied the pardon and stated friends of Lacy offered money though he did not name a source.
