U S Airmen Start Greenland Flight From Reykjavik

A three-plane flight led by Lieutenant Locatelli with American pilots Lieutenants Lowell H W Smith and Eric H Nelson departed Reykjavik at dawn for Frederikssdal Greenland. The squadron aimed for Cape Farewell, a ~125 mile hop, after ice and weather forced earlier plans to Angagealik be abandoned.

Two Bodies Recovered From Rio Grande Near Laredo

In Laredo Texas two bodies were recovered from the Rio Grande this morning. They are Private William De precis of the fourth cavalry who drowned Tuesday while bathing and an unidentified elderly Mexican. The soldier will be buried in the post cemetery.

Globe to host election returns in North-West Texas crowd

Fort Worth businessmen tour proposed Texas railroad plan

A 14 member Fort Worth committee surveying the Texas Panhandle Gulf railroad path stopped in Amarillo at noon on return from Tucumcari. They traveled by car along the proposed route and praised the project saying farmers along the line would benefit from the road. The 500 mile line would cross rich lands in Texas and Rotary club members greeted them at Rock Island station with well wishes.

Falls 10 death beneath train

A Santa Fe locomotive engineer A Taylor, 27, of 1103 Lincoln Street was killed last night near Curtis Oklahoma after falling from the tender to the tracks while the fruit train was moving. The crew found his body west of Curtis and took it to Woodward. he leaves a widow and one child and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.
