Officers Nab Jail Breaker
The last of five men who broke jail here Oct. 5, 1949, has been recaptured. William Lester Buzard, 52, awaiting forgery trial in Amarillo, is under arrest in Boise City, Oklahoma, after being brought in by a Dallas FBI agent. Buzard fled with four others during a night escape that left Jailer Burgess assaulted. three federal prisoners were recaptured earlier, while Buzard remained at large until now.
