Man Slain in Hold Up Says El Paso Police Glad
Rudolph Oakley fatally shot during a holdup told police on his death bed that the El Paso police would be glad to hear of his death. He suggested the killing would clear up stuff down there. Officers confirmed Oakley as the slain man and identified him by a hamburger stand owner where he worked. He was married.

A man identified by police as Oakley fled a Fort Cayton grocery store after an attempted hold up. Pursued by a officer, he fired and was fatally wounded. a beaded folder held a photo of a mulatto woman believed to be his mother. He left a dying message naming a Mrs Grace in Juarez Mexico cabaret. He died in Fort Worth hospital an hour later during treatment.

Thrill show to feature car plunges near river bridge
Next Sunday a public auto wrecking show near the Canadian River bridge will stage several cars rolling down a 100 foot bluff.
