Woman Fights Jail Break With Guns In Oklahoma
In Pryor Oklahoma on August 9 Mrs Ethel McCracken wife of the jailer resisted a four inmate jailbreak. Jake Cook wounded in the leg, Willie Murphy and George Casey captured after Mrs McCracken fired to stop the escape. Cook held on armed robbery charges, Murphy on livestock theft, Casey on car theft. The jailer praised his wife as wonderful.
