Youth Tells of Seeing Missing Man in Auto

Jack Gresset 414 West Tenth Avenue reported to detective M. M. Scott that he saw G. C. Cook alone in a car on the Red River bridge near Childress and Quanah, the area where the auto was later found. Cook, a Santa Fe clerk, left home Monday at 9 am and has not been heard from since. His car was found with four tires flat near the Quanah highway. Clerks Set West Texas Convention in Amarillo

County and district clerks from the Panhandle Plains and all West Texas will attend the seventh annual West Texas Auxiliary convention in Amarillo on August 16 and 17.
