Two Accidents Injure Three. One Driver Fractures Pelvis
Two highway crashes near Amarillo left three people hospitalized and two uninjured. Most seriously hurt were F. H. Shill head of LSU Teachers College art department and his daughter Mrs. FE L Goad a Pampa teacher who was pinned beneath an overturned car with a fractured pelvis. Shill suffered four broken ribs and a broken collar bone. Harry Kelley a Pampa teacher in the sedan was treated for shock and a sprained back and released. The three were en route to Canyon to see West Texas State president Dr. J A Hill when the wet curve south of Amarillo caused the crash. A separate collision at the Highway 66 east of Amarillo between a Clayton New Mexico truck and an Oklahoma City sedan resulted in no injuries though the sedan was badly damaged. Drivers were warned the road section is dangerous due to road work and a four inch road shoulder cutback.
