Explosives Plant Planned for Amarillo Glycerin Supply

Amarillo will host the U S Torpedo company glycerin plant to serve New Mexico Colorado Western Kansas Western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. Officers from Electra plan a $10 000 facility near the city with distributing points at Archer City Burkburnett Duncan and Healdton. Alburtus to Be In Shackles At Amarillo Theater

Alburtus, billed as a mystery man, will perform nightly at 6 45 at the Fair theater. He will be restrained in a Huntsville penitentiary straight jacket and suspended by his feet from a rope across the street, then descend to the ground for his act before returning to his dressing room. The company will stay in Amarillo through Tuesday night with other bookings canceled by manager Carl Sullivan.
