Two Dallas firemen were injured when a fire destroyed the Pure Food Products plant in Dallas causing about 650000 dollars in damage. The injured workers were EB. L. Frith and W. Tribot, both suffering lacerations and bruises.

Mrs. A. W. Chisum of Miami Texas was killed and her daughter Mrs. Grady Baileyn was likely fatally injured when their car ran off a culvert and overturned near Miami. Blanche Chisum escaped injury as the ambulance transported the mother.
Kansas editor William Allen White ends campaign activity and sails for Europe aboard the French liner De Grasse. He said he hopes not to return before the election and that, with money to spend, he will come back only after spending it all.

In Mexico City Judge hears Jone de Leon Toral claim nun Concepcion Acebedo de la Lata, Mother Concepcion, pressured him toward assassination. Toral says she discussed prolonged religious persecution and argued only Obregon death would end it, naming Calles and Perez as further targets.
Henry W. Toll a Denver attorney said in Hollywood he represents Queen Marie of Romania offering one of her stories for film production under terms. A producer would hire a cameraman to shoot scenes in Romania and the Queen would appear only in the introductory and concluding segments separate from the story.
The million dollar breach of promise case of Mrs. Donie Vandever versus J. A. Whittenberg was postponed to November 19 by Panhandle district Judge Newton P. Willis. Vandever, 51, sought damages in a heart balm suit transferred from Plemons, with Amarlillo lawyers saying the case will be vigorously fought.
A devastating afternoon storm in Missouri left a 9-year-old boy dead and nine others injured all from Kansas City. Lightning struck five buildings setting fires and damaged several automobiles, while the victim Russell Owings was visiting his grandparents in Mexico Missouri.
Floydada authorities wire Amarillo police to locate two boys who ran away from home. Pope Duncan, 14, is small for his age with blue eyes and light hair, wearing yellow oxford shoes and a plaid cap. Sam Pitts, 16, has brown hair and blue eyes.
Col Charles A Lindbergh says Amarillo fits as a key air center on a new East to West route. He notes the plan includes nightly sleeping car air passengers via Wichita and Clovis with future New York to Los Angeles flights. He praises Amarillo’s 480 acre city land purchase for airport expansion.
