CTC Signal System Operates With Lever Control and Telephony

Two rows of levers manage switches and three-position levers handle signals at passing sidings ends. Normal and reverse switch positions show green and amber lights, center-signal stops show red. An operator uses auto unlocks, code-starting buttons, and field telephones to coordinate mainline work with a foreman, then resets all levers after task completion. An automatic train graph records train progress and dispatcher timing, and trains move per signal indications with safeguards for safety.
