Panhandle relief aid to fund CCC youths
Federal funds will aid 247 youths in four North Panhandle counties, including 41 in Potter County, with CCC enlistments completed Tuesday. Pay ranges from 30 to 45 dollars monthly, 25 dollars of which goes to dependents, reducing Potter County relief costs by about 1250 dollars monthly. Families may still receive surplus commodity allotments and possible direct relief if needed.
