Yeomen Voters See Prohibition Split Grand Jury Charged for New Term

The district court in Claude Armstrong county opened a ten week April term with Judge Henry Bishop presiding. Grand jury was charged and no cases until Tuesday. On the docket are murder charge against J L Cheshire in the Dickey shooting and Arvell Meador swindling tied to E S Shelly death. Court will travel to Canyon on August 1.

Americans Urged to Evacuate Shantung District

The State Department informed by Minister MacMurray in Pekin urged all Americans in the northeastern Shantung district to leave for Cherfoo at once. One hundred fourteen Americans were recorded there on January 1, with more believed present. Cherfoo Consul Webber said the area is outwardly quiet but bandit attacks threaten as Shantung defenses collapse.
