Catholics Deny Church Back of Hold Up In Mexico
Mexican Catholics deny government charges that the episcopate organized the Jalisco train attack. Archbishop Ruiz y Flores says priests did not participate and the church has no knowledge or connection. The incident left about 100 passengers and soldiers dead and some 80 injured as revolutionists sought to loot the train, opposing a soldier guard's resistance.
