In Austin district court the jury selection began for F F Dale and H H Moore charged with accepting 1000 dollars to defeat a tax bill on stationary optometrists. Dale is a Bonham lawyer and Moore a Cooper farmer. severance may be sought for Moore first. They were expelled from the state house during the recent session.

Amarillo men Clarence R B Tubbs and Jack Cox were held up last night at Fifth and Lincoln streets. Two robbers, described as above average in size, brandished revolvers and relieved the pair of seven dollars in small change. Police report details the incident and suspects remain under investigation.

Albert Snyder, Queens Village art editor, was slated for death on March 7 when Mrs. Ruth Snyder and her lover Henry Judd Gray met in Manhattan. Gray bought sash weights and chloroform in Kingston to murder Snyder, with two life insurance policies worth 56000 and double indemnity for violent death. Mrs Snyder knew of the policies. Snyder did not.
Judge Henry Bishop addressed the criminal district court grand jury at the April term urging indictments against pistol carriers and gambling organizers. He urged targeting bootleggers by questioning regular whisky drinkers and called for action on murder cases and habeas corpus concerns.
Pampa Grand theater owned by M. A. Dixon and C. W. Dip boye burned Monday causing about 15000 dollars in losses. An adjoining brick building under construction sustained about 1000 dollars in damage. The fire origin remains undetermined.
Mrs Nancy Rh Davis, head of the smallpox case, and her son in law J E Davis were seriously ill. Mrs T Roberts, 75, walked eight miles from the farm to Bushland to summon aid. Word reached Griggs Undertaking Co. late Sunday. Mrs Davis funeral held Monday morning. Mr Davis remained seriously ill.
