Passage of 23661000 Omnibus Bill Is Forecast
A Texas Senate plan proposes a $23,661,000 omnibus tax bill to fund social security and state services. It would raise taxes on oil, gas, utilities, liquor, cosmetics, radios, and several motor vehicle related revenues, with estimated yields ranging from $100,000 to over $8 million for specific items. The bill aims to broaden funding for old age pensions, teacher retirement matching, and aid to the needy.
