City Growth Plans Highlight Amarillo Rotary Meeting
Rex Baxter told Amarillo Rotary the city will keep growing, citing 1 250 yearly population gains since 1905 and 430 houses built in three years. He urged reviewing new firms, noting 12 firms employing 400 plus workers. Austin Hancock warned growth may slow postwar but stressed urgent water sewer projects. Nominees for directors were listed by Ross D. Rogers with six to be chosen later.
