Kansas City April 13 U S D A livestock totals show hogs 6 000 with mixed demand and lighter weights steady to lower. cattle 3 000 with slow to steady slaughter cattle and mixed yearlings. calves 400 with good demand in spots. sheep 1 500 with fairly active buying and some high prices for native lambs. In Chicago hogs 29 000 200 330 lb range 10 15 cents lower with top 13 80. cattle 5 500 calves 1 000 generally steady and active for strictly good stock.

Legion Auxiliary Executives Visit Amarillo for Official Tour

National state and regional executives of the American Legion Auxiliary arrive for an official visit. Mrs. Walter G. Craven of Charlotte will be in Amarillo today with events including registration at the Capitol Hotel, a Tea at Mrs. Hess’s home, a hospital visit, and an evening John Snider barbecue in the Shrine Temple. Livestock Prices Mixed With Steady to Higher Trade

In a late market report cattle steer and heifer prices show wide ranges with top steers around 16 90 for long yearlings and most heifers near 13 50 to 15 00. Wealers hold at 16.00, beef cows to 13 50, lambs and sheep rising slightly with western wool pastures at 16 50 to 16 75 and pelts around 14 25 for specific lots. Sheep remain scarce with ewes near 9.00 and shorn types near 7 75.

Mrs J J Richards Dies in Lubbock Funeral

Mrs J J Richards former Amarillo resident died at her Lubbock home last night. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm in Lubbock with burial in Hillsboro. Surviving relatives include daughter in law Mrs Hugh Richards Amarillo daughter Mrs R R Nation Pampa two sons Albert and Tom Richards and niece Mrs Nola Witcher Amarillo.
