No. 7 in a Series Business Is Poor for Narcotics Thieves
Narcotics thefts and burglaries have diminished in recent months according to Chief of Detectives J L King. The last major hauls were Nov 5 at Van A Bruner Drug Store and Nov 19 at Mark Galloway Drug Store. Stolen items included dilau did, cen teen and pantopan with stock bottle quantities valued at about 50 dollars in normal terms but higher illicitly. Detective King noted 10 to 15 doctor’s kits were also stolen in 1950 and that one known thief is in state prison for a related conviction.
