Former Senator Pink Parrish Dies At Lubbock Home

Pink L. Parrish, 58, former Texas State Senator, died after an operation for leg amputation failed and pneumonia developed in a Lubbock hospital. A former mayor of Lubbock and Crosby County judge, he had run for congressman at large in 1932 and last campaigned for mayor in March. Born in Texas, Parrish moved from Jack County to the South Plains 38 years ago and held various roles including cowboy, teacher, and twelve years as county judge before moving to Lubbock in 1924.
