City Commission Adopts Budget With $1 Tax Rate
Last night the city commission ordered adoption of a budget for the year starting April 16 at a $1 tax rate on an estimated $61 million valuation. The estimated tax roll stands about $2 million below current valuation, with full revenue from 1932 1933 taxation expected at $610,000. Of that, $250,000 funds the sinking and interest. $360,000 plus $75,000 miscellaneous receipts go to general operations totaling $435,000.
