C Men Begin 16th Census Work in Amarillo and Potter
The C-Men numbering 120 000 start the 16th U S census counting 132 million people and 71 000 000 farms nationwide. In Amarillo and Potter County, 42 enumerators under Earl Dayton begin door to door counting about 50 000 to 60 000 residents with 16 universal questions and up to 243 for farmers.
