Expansion bid for Amarillo VA hospital faces long odds
Washington release cites Rep. Gene Worley urging a 300 bed addition to Amarillo VA hospital with support from local groups and veterans organizations. VA official Omer Clark toured the facility and left noncommittal on action, while local leaders push for $3 million to start construction within 60 days amid three years of stalled expansion. Also notes Sgt Dorris W. Hamilton completing Marine Recruiters School at Parris Island and his prior service record.
