Tragedy on River Road Claims Price Child Life
A six year old Amarillo boy, Howard Calvin Price, was killed when struck by an automobile six miles north of the city. The driver, Mrs. Jessie Slaner of Hobart Oklahoma, was found not to be at fault in an inquest. The accident occurred as the boy stepped from a parked car into the path of Slaner’s northbound vehicle. He died at St Anthony’s Hospital from brain concussion and severe injuries. The Slaner group assisted the boy and planned to stay in Amarillo to help the Price family.

Baby killings in Oklahoma leave three wounded
In Coweta Oklahoma a 2 year old boy Donald Ingram was killed and three others were wounded in a family quarrel and Jap Ingram the father was arrested less than an hour after the shooting. The victims included Mary Lou Ingram age 4 who was shot in the head and died or was expected to die. Sam Sewell and John Doss were wounded as they tried to stop the attack. Ingram was taken to Wagoner County jail and he said he was headed to Sand Springs to see his wife. No charges filed immediately.
