Perryton Teen Dead After Car Crash Near U S 70
A 17 year old Perryton girl Linda Sue Adkins was killed when a 1968 model foreign sports car left U S 70 and slid into a field near Perryton. Amanda Jeanne Burge, 19, was hospitalized in critical condition with a fractured back and broken ribs after being thrown from the vehicle. Highway Patrolman Preston Morgan said the car went out of control and crossed into a broadside slide. Funeral services for Adkins are pending with Boxwell Brothers.
