Johnson meets first grandson Lyn at Seton Hospital
President Johnson visited Seton Hospital in Austin to meet his new grandson Patrick Lyndon Nugent nicknamed Lyn. T. L. Jack Roach 75 of 2600 Washington died Saturday morning at St. Anthony's Hospital after a long cattle career in Donley and Potter Counties. He led Panhandle Livestock Association and Texas Southwest Cattle Raisers Association and was past president of the Amarillo Stock Show. Born December 25, 1891 in May Texas he married Ozelle Knorpp October 7, 1914 in Groom and belonged to Polk Street Methodist Church. Funeral set for 2 p.m. Monday at Polk Street Church.

Cop Gets It On the Nose
In Chicago a motorist bit off part of a policeman nose after a traffic stop. Officer John Nalepa and partner Richard Blaay halted Wayne Titler 33 a railroad brakeman for missing license plates. Titler fought and bit Blaay severing the left nose portion. Titler charged with aggravated battery and four traffic tickets. Blaay taken to hospital for possible nose reconstruction.
