Air Guardsmen Die In Plane Crash Near Palo Duro Airport
Two Air National Guardsmen on temporary duty at Amarillo AFB died when their two seat light plane crashed south of Palo Duro Airport during a practice landing and takeoff. The victims were T Sergeant Vincent J Raven 30 of Riverdale Illinois and T Sergeant Donald E Thomas 23 of Tucson Arizona. Eyewitnesses said the plane went into a spin and hit the ground after a low flight with Thomas at the controls. Mrs J W Williams who owns the pasture where the craft crashed said witnesses saw the crash and that the motor did not seem to be running.

Buffalo Drive Will Recreate Old West Trek Across Oklahoma
A herd of 20 buffalo will be driven along the Old Santa Fe Trail from Oklahoma into New Mexico starting Thursday.
