Two Amarillo Women Injured In Local Car Crash
Two elderly Amarillo residents, Mrs. J. A. Callen 68 and her niece Mrs. Laura Callen 58, were injured in a collision at Tenth Avenue and Lincoln Street. They were hospitalized with severe head injuries and scalp wounds. Police linked the crash to a failure to halt at a stop sign by M. R. Saunders 4239 West Fifteenth Avenue. Saunders' car sustained minor damage.

Desperate capture of sheriffs by masked bandits near Wellington
Sheriff George Corry and City Marshal Paul Hardy were abducted by two men identified as Culyde Champion Barrow and Ivy Barrow near Wellington.
