Dallas Edifice Topples Onto 2nd Structure
A three story wall toppled onto a one and a half story music store and beer tavern in Dallas killing at least three people and trapping patrons inside. Eleven known inside the toppled building were later joined by estimates that as many as fifteen could be missing. Authorities and workers recovered victims as rescue efforts continued into the night.

Ex-convict held on mail theft charge in Potter County
A 53 year old ex federal convict Harold Leroy Montgomery listed as Atlanta Georgia was held in Potter County jail on charges of theft of the mails. A U S commissioner filed a complaint and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He will be transferred to Oklahoma City by the U S Marshall. Montgomery is accused of stealing several thousand dollars worth of checks from the mails. Unofficial Amarillo police estimates place the value as high as 50060 dollars. All checks have been recovered and Amarillo officers credited for the arrest.
