Max W. Boyer, 52, Perryton attorney and former Texas Legislator, was appointed judge of the 84th District Court by Gov. Price Daniel. The post covers Hutchinson, Ochiltree and Hansford counties, succeeding Judge Jack Allen who died December 2. Boyer has long served in Perryton as city attorney and earlier as Ochiltree County attorney. He began practice in 1929 after Cumberland University law degree, was first president of the Northeast Panhandle Bar Association, and currently sits on the 18th Congressional District State Bar Grievance Committee.
