In muddy conditions Amarillo High's Sandies overwhelmed Childress 46 to 0 to advance to the Interscholastic League football playoffs quarterfinals. Wildhorse Mayes was held scoreless but Clesson Davis and Gill starred in a wide open attack despite slick field conditions.
A head on collision near Washburn 16 miles southeast claimed the Parsons parents and Mrs. Rusk earlier. Carl E. Parsons seven of Clarendon died in an Amarillo hospital. Funeral services for the Parsons at Clarendon First Methodist Church. Mrs. Rusk to be buried in Pampa Cemetery after services at First Baptist Church.
Deadwood appointed a Santa Claus censorship committee to day. Duties: To guard against appearance of more than one Santa on Deadwood streets at one time. Object: To save parents embarrassment of explaining surplus Santas to their too observant youngsters.

Mary Beth Keirsey, 11, daughter of Mr and Mrs A F Keirsey of 1402 Hughes Street, died at home after seven weeks illness. Service at First Baptist Church conducted by Rev J Howard Williams. Burial in Llano Cemetery. Survived by parents sister Nettie Lou 8 brother Wilbur Gene 5 and grandparents Mrs Nettie McKinney Amarillo and Mr and Mrs A W Keirsey Cleburne. A F Keirsey is city editor of the Amarillo Daily News.
