Moody committee approves plan to issue bonds for state highways

A Texas sub committee of Governor Moody's highway legislation group approves issuing up to 225 million dollars in state bonds. Revenue from gasoline and other fuels would fund interest and principal. Hupp Motor Co Acquires Control of Chandler Cleveland Motors

In Cleveland Ohio today the Hupp Motor Car corporation announced it has acquired control of Chandler Cleveland Motors forming a combined concern with assets near 130 million according to stock values. Acquisition required 315000 shares for control amid 350000 preferred and 280000 common shares outstanding. Chandler assets valued about 16 million.

Phillips employee killed in Borger motorcycle spill

J. G. Harris, 26, of Hope New Mexico, a Phillips Petroleum employee, died in Borger today from injuries after his motorcycle hit a rough road and overturned. The accident occurred three miles north of Borger. Harris survived about seven hours with a fractured skull.

Border inspectors to be dismissed amid Detroit liquor crackdown

United States and Canadian authorities pushed a joint crackdown on rum running at the Detroit water boundary.
