Two Killed When Train Hits Truck Near Clarendon
A Burlington southbound passenger train struck a small truck and trailer eight miles west of Clarendon killing James Williams 20 of Amarillo and James Bozeman 22 of Pampa instantly. Bozeman, 65, grandfather of the youths, was gravely injured and given little chance of recovery. The trio, loading cantaloupes for Amarillo markets, were crossing the rail line when the crash occurred at noon. Funeral plans for Williams and the younger Bozeman were incomplete tonight.
