Poppy Day Preparations Highlight Alpine Auxiliary Efforts
Alpine prepares for Poppy Days November 11 and 12 with thousands of memorial poppies at the American Legion Home. Mrs. Nolan Shuler leads volunteers in making hats and baskets for distribution while posters are prepared for downtown windows. Poster contests across three student classes offer cash prizes and state recognition. A window display at First National Bank features World War I and II poppies, Viet Nam, and Korean War symbolism as Auxiliary members emphasize remembrance and support.
