Local PTA Adds Six Members at School Meeting
The P T A welcomed six new names at a Wednesday meeting in the school auditorium. President Mrs W T Binam led discussions on the yearbook, upcoming studies, and a benefit movie. Resignation from Alpine by Mrs McGonagill was read, and Mrs L Mitchey was appointed partialarian. A Texan Outlook note on PTA work preceded talks by Mrs Ritchey and Mrs Ahiman. The group then sewed and mixed with new luncheon cloth aims. Reporter Mew Le W Carter hosted an evening on the lawn with games and contests won by Alma Gyfkhar, Holly Sansom, and Katherine Young. The Sewing Club met at Mrs TD McKinney’s home with ten members, enjoying hot chocolate and cake.

Tubercular Sufferer Dies After Hemorrhage
The body of Hill, 43, who lived here, died early Monday after a hemorrhage of the lungs. He was moved to Ennis for burial. He came from Ful, Oklahoma, months ago and stayed at Tippit ranch before moving to town to work for the Texas Tally since late July. He belonged to a prominent Kansas family. He leaves a wife and three small children, the family having been here for the past month or two.

Red Ball Service Station Changes Hands
The Red Ball Service Station on Railroad Avenue was sold last week to L A Milam who had worked for Alpine Transfer. Milam has taken charge and reports excellent business. WNCanl Taylor, former owner, started a new venture with an Odessa brothel. Mrs Taylor and children will join him soon.
