Large Tank Destroyed by Rain Flood In Alpine Region
A large tank in Alpine was wrecked by a heavy rain cloud burst. The structure stood about 20 feet high and 200 feet long, feeding the dam before water crested over. Several tree holes and breaches occurred along the dam, with damage worsening erosion. W. N. Fowler of Fort S visited Alpine Sunday and noted the severe loss and the uncertain plan to rebuild.
