The sale of the Jim P. Wilson ranch containing about 5000 acres at the south edge of Alpine to John F. Lane was reported this week. Lane owns ranch and oil lands near Rankin and recently leased the Stokes ranch north of Alpine from J. D. Jackson.
Mrs. Marie Van Fossan visited her son and daughter in Fort Worth and met granddaughter Vickie Lynn born Oct. 23. Dr D D Van Fossan interns at St Joseph’s Hospital in Fort Worth. Mrs Pete Bishop of Del Rio, formerly Alpine, visited Thanksgiving with Mr and Mrs Harry Carpenter and family.

J C Dunagan of Mona Hans elected to the executive board of the American Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages at the November meeting in San Francisco. He presides over Monahans Coca Cola Bottling Co and holds top posts at Seven Up Rio Pecos Bottling Co Big Bend Coca Cola Bottling Co of Alpine and John C Dunagan Co. He will serve a three year term on ABCB.
