Miss Sellen McCutchen and Ronald A. Jackson united in marriage in the Anglican Church Brooks on November 14 1970 officiated by Rev Randall Springer. Parents are Mrs Catheryn Vickers Marfa and Jack McCutchen El Paso and Mrs Martha Jackson Brooks. Reception followed at Mortenson home with relatives assisting. The couple plans to reside in Brooks and a wedding dance is planned November 28 at the Elks Hall.

In the team teaching class of Mrs. Honeycutt and Mrs. Bremer, Talent Day featured a puppet show by Mike Ebensberger and Ronny Dodson titled The Curious Wizard enjoyed by the class and later the kindergarten. National Children’s Book Week brought Virginia Allen Kimball to Mrs. Ansley’s third grade to read from her book and others.

Marathon continues its strong season with a 61 to 26 victory over the Fort Davis Indians last Friday night at Mustang Stadium. The team travels to Miles on Thursday for a key district game at 7 30 p.m. Tickets available at the gate.

Mrs. Stumberg hosted the Wednesday Morning Bridge Club at her home on November 18 serving sausages preserves and coffee. Present were Mines Dave Elliott Montgomery Ellison S M Kerbow Clarence Hord Edward Seaton Fritz Weyerts J M Alderson and guest Marvin Pierce. Mrs Elliott held high score and Mrs Ellison was second high with Mrs Kerbow winning bingo.
