Alpine Community Center Board, chaired by Mrs. W E Lockhart in president’s absence, reconvenes to hear Dr. Raymond Wheat report on a damaged water meter. Meals, classes, UNICEF drives, Girl Scouts, polio vaccine, and Youth Corps placements are outlined along with staffing changes and upcoming December student play.

DRT Chapter Noted for Year of Activities in 75th Yearbook

Hally Bryan Perry Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas is highlighted in the 75th anniversary yearbook for Texas history efforts in local seventh grade schools including Sanderson Marathon Alpine and Big Bend National Park's school plan for next year. The chapter awarded top students and hosted memorials and a flag presentation. Founders Month declared for January with related programs. Also named Brewster Jeff Davis 4 H Club officers with meeting schedule.
