Two Ranch Deals Concluded This Week
Two ranch deals were consummated this week involving Ben Pruett purchasing all Birdie Mitchell's interest in the Mitchell-Pruett ranch and RL Nevill buying the J. H. Rector ranch. In Beeville Ace of Hearts, owned by Will Copeland, was killed after a deer hunter’s bullet shattered its right hind foot. Copeland euthanized the horse. Mrs Vera Calhoun graduate nurse will care for parents at home.

Parent Teachers Meet Delays Decision on Work Plan
The Parent Teachers Association held a regular meeting November 14 at the Highschool auditorium. With the president and both vice-presidents absent Miss Allen led. A definite work plan was postponed until November 21 when a meeting will be called. Members sang "the Swallows" and Miss Alice Smith performed two tunes from James Whitcomb Riley. HT. Luthy received a Baldwin piano manuala claimed to be the most complete and expensive piano shipped to West Texas.
