FIRST NAT Tracks Extend Toward Wichita and Sweetwater
The First National tracks finish into Wichita from Milton with grading north of the former site nearly complete. Track layers will push north, possibly reaching Osage county this fall. Missouri Pacific tracks may be used to reach Kansas City from Milton. Only thirty miles of grading remain south of Fairview to reach Sweetwater Texas, 150 miles from Wichita, with workers closing the gap and soon extending toward Sweetwater.
