Permian Basin Red Cross Meet Set Saturday at Indian Lodge
The Permian Basin Association of the American Red Cross will host about 150 visitors at Indian Lodge in the Davis Mountains State Park for a Saturday breakfast at 8 a.m. and a business meeting on Junior Red Cross. Reservations may be made via Mrs. J M Midsness or Indian Lodge. An informal Friday fellowship with dancing is planned, and Saturday tours are offered.

Dr. Alan Maxwell of the Radio Astronomy Station toured lectures at Harvard High Altitude Observatory Boulder and Rome Air Development Center Griffiss AFB Rome NY. He spoke at the Rochester American Astronomical Society meeting on Fort Davis station work and Peter H Stone also presented on last summer’s stay. Tuesday April 28 Home Economics girls held a picnic honoring Hoogie Harvey at Madera Canyon from 4 to 7:30.

Cox seeks win 18, after a 12 game win streak and Arizona trip illness. Wilson of Texas will deliver the principal address at Sul Ross State College commencement exercises on Sunday night May 24. The spring convocation of the 6th session begins with an open house 4 to 6 pm at the president’s home honoring the class of 1959 and guests. Funeral services for Mrs. J. N. Allebrand of Marathon will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Pratt Kansas with burial in Pratt. She died in an El Paso hospital after a lengthy illness.
