Alpine Chamber Tours On New Railroad To Topolobampo
The Alpine Chamber of Commerce started a three month old rail line tour from Sjimaga on the Chiquahua to Topolobampo aboard the Pacifico system. Participants cross the Sierra Mandres and Continental divides through 28 bridges and 73 tunnels to Los Mochis and Topolobampo with plans for further tours and future routes.

Alpine to Big Bend Tour Explores Camino del Rio Route
A group from Alpine joins an exploratory tour from Alpine to Big Bend National Park via the Camino del Rio and the Chihuahua al Pacifico. Paul Forchheimer chairs the committee and plans rely on a first tour returning for guidance. The Alpine Chamber group includes Mr and Mrs Merrill Ruth Joseph and other residents. Peter Koch leads the Alpine Chamber tour. The expected cost is under 15 dollars per day per person.

Supt Merle E Stitt of Craters of the Moon announces that Rutledge 32 a Marathon native and former Craters of the Moon administrative assistant has been chosen for the Procurement Agent post at Mt Rainier National Park Longmire Washington He previously served at Big Bend and Death Valley and in the U S Army in Korea 1951 52 He will begin duties at Mt Rainier about April 8.
