The Alpine High School Band traveled to Lamesa on March 8 for the 8th Annual Lamesa Invitational Band Festival. Judges included Gray Zook and Lloyd Cook among others. bands from Rotan to Clovis competed. Alpine earned six firsts six seconds and four thirds at the University Interscholastic League Solo and Ensemble Contest in Midland with multiple medalists.
