Alpine Youth John Reeder Joins Naval Academy Class
Midshipman John E. Reeder, Alpine High School graduate in May 1945, enters the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis after a strong first year. He played freshman football lacrosse soccer and swam, earning Engineers' Club honors and serving as bosun's mate on a summer assignment aboard the battleship Missouri. Reeder plans a short Alpine visit before returning to Annapolis in September.
